Unsafe water still major killer in many parts of the world

World Water Day coalition in Washington

Today the issues surrounding lack of clean water are as pressing as ever. Health problems caused by lack of access to safe water are amongst the biggest killers worldwide. Yet solutions to the problem are readily available - hygiene education, water purification and the building of wells, amongst other approaches, can be put in place with the right governmental support. To mark World Water Day, a coalition of US based organizations has come together to motivate just that. Global Health TV brings you this report on the situation in Haiti and the Sudan, two water-resource poor areas. Footage courtesy of PSI.
