International accreditation difficult

The director of WHO's AIDS Medicine & Diagnostics Service, Joseph Perriens, tells Global Health TV that international laboratory accreditation is difficult to achieve in Africa. He tells us why it's important that African labs produce reliable results and how the new accreditation program, being launched by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, WHO and CDC, is necessary to bring them up to standard.
