Call for IMF to cancel Haiti's debt

Funds needed to rebuild health system

Close to half a million people have signed a petition calling for the cancellation of Haiti's $890 million national debt. G7 finance ministers meeting in Canada have pledged their support for this. Currently in Haiti 900,000 people have no access to latrines and as the rainy season approaches the risk of epidemic is increasing rapidly.

Global Health TV speaks to Oxfam, one of the international partners leading the campaign, about why money is desperately needed to rebuild the health and sanitation system in the devastated nation.
