World's largest NGO honoured for health

BRAC (formerly known as the Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee) was established by Fazle Hasan Abed in 1972 to help Bangladesh's war refugees. It has grown in to the world's largest non-governmental organization (NGO), serving more than 30 million people. BRAC's achievements include national immunisation and tuberculosis treatment programs as well as prevention of childhood diarrhea. The organization won the Gates Award for Global Health in 2004. Global Health TV talks with Fazle Hasan Abed about BRAC's achievements so far and what is still to come.
