Haiti's lack of infrastructure made rolling out health treatment and prevention programmes difficult even before the country was decimated by earthquake. At the official AIDS Candlelight Memorial ceremony in 2009, Global Health TV reporter, Roz Plater, talked with Chandra Baier of PEPFAR about the work the US was doing in Haiti then to tackle HIV/AIDS.
