WHO warns women about Aids

The World Health Orginisation (WHO) has women about the danger of Aids.

According to the body, the disease is the main cause of death in women of between 15 and 44-years-old.

In a new report, WHO also stated that progress in world health issues are limited while females are not seen equally throughout the globe.

Dr Margaret Chan, director general for the WHO, commented that social and political issues are key to obtaining better health conditions for women all over the world.

She suggested that progress would ne difficult while females are seen as second-class citizens in some countries.

Elsewhere, the report said: "Women who do not know how to protect themselves from such infections, or who are unable to do so, face increased risks of death or illness."

Earlier this week, Aaron Motsoaledi, health minister for South Africa, commented at a conference that South Africa would win the war against Aids.
