Marathon man runs for health cause

An athlete is attempting to run 26 marathons in 26 days in order to raise funds for Unicef.

Jackson Williams is completing the feat on behalf of Unicef and has set a fundraising target of £10,000.

This money will go towards helping the charity to deliver health care, nutrition, protection and education to children around the world.

Williams is a former boxer who has previously fought world champion Amir Khan.

He stated: "I have chosen to support Unicef by running 26 marathons in 26 days on a treadmill because I believe that anything is possible.

"Unicef's commitment to children has produced some awe-inspiring achievements and proves that with a little help, we can make a difference."

The start of the run took place in London at Harrods store on August 3rd, while the final 26 miles will also be completed in the Knightsbridge shop.

Next year, Williams intends to break the Guinness World Record for running by travelling from Perth to Sydney in Australia.
