Malaria No More partners with reality show

A major reality TV show is joining the fight against malaria.

Malaria No More will be the sole sponsor of I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here.

All of the celebrities heading into the jungle as part of the Ant and Dec-hosted show have chosen for the money raised from viewers voting for them to go to the charity.

This will see 15p from each 50p phone vote go to Malaria No More.

The money raised will be spent on sending specially-treated malaria nets to Africa.

Peter Fincham, director of television, channels and online for ITV, said that he is "delighted" with the news.

He commented: "The series has always raised money for good causes but never for a single charity. This is a unique collaboration, and I hope that the funds raised will help Malaria No More UK towards their goal, which is to end malaria deaths by 2015."

Earlier this week, Indie Rocks! A Benefit Album for Malaria No More was released as a digital download, with proceeds allowing nets to be sent to Africa.
