Jenna Bush launches HIV book
George Bush's daughter Jenna has begun a tour to promote her new book about a 17-year-old girl with HIV.
The 25-year-old has embarked on a two month tour of the US to publicise Ana's Story: A Journey of Hope and is written in easy-to-read language that is targeted at teenagers.
The book came about after Jenna met 'Ana', a teenage mother, at a community meeting in Central America for women and children living with AIDS during an internship with UNICEF.
Jenna began meeting with Ana several times a week and began writing up her account, which became a 300-page book.
"Ana changed my life. She's only 17-years-old, but she's lived the life of somebody so much older," Bush told the Associated Press.
"Despite her hardships, Ana is so much like the teenagers here in the United States. She reminds me of myself at that age."
Jenna became engaged to her long-term boyfriend, Henry Hager, in August.
