Indie rocks in aid of malaria

Music fans can help the battle against malaria by snapping up a new charity album.

Indie Rocks! A Benefit Album for Malaria No More will be released on November 17th.

The digital-only release includes tracks by the likes of Juliette Lewis, The Walkmen and Peter, Bjorn and John.

Scott Case, chief executive officer for Malaria No More, said that buying the album is a great way to show support to the cause.

He commented: "The generosity of the artists and their fans will have real impact in the lives of children in Africa - showing how music has the power to change the world."

Mr Case explained that the $10 (£6) cost of the album will allow mosquito nets to be sent to Africa to protect families from malaria.

Malaria No More is an organisation dedicated to ending deaths from the disease in Africa.

The body has set a target of 2015 by when it hopes to have achieved this aim.
