Ashton Kutcher campaigns against malaria

Ashton Kutcher has joined the fight against malaria by utilising Twitter to send out a message to the world.

The Hollywood actor used his official Twitter site to raise awareness of World Malaria Day, which is set to be marked on April 25th.

Throughout the day yesterday (April 7th) he wrote a series of posts detailing his views on the subject.

"Let's rally the troops on World Malaria Day. If we all rally we can make malaria a thing for history books (so) that we all say, 'I can't believe people use to die from that'," he stated.

In addition, Kutcher also used his MySpace to bring more attention to the malaria cause.

"On World Malaria Day, we plan to rally the Twitter community to Tweet in support of Malaria prevention and treatment, by asking our followers to go to the Malaria No More website to learn about how to help end malaria deaths in Africa," he said.

Kutcher has appeared in films such as the Butterfly Effect and The Guardian.
